For us to remain unchanged in this life of ours would be a disaster, for the unattained heights always stretch before our laggard feet. We can hardly think of the utterly unchanged since we are neccessarily immersed in the flow of time's moments from yesterday, through today and into tomorrow. The unchangeableness of God excludes a beginning or an end, a truth we pack into the awful majesty of the word "forever". We can think of estenity only in terms of interrupted time, of a precious moment caught , transfixed, enduring to the exclusion of past and future; yet eternity is rather a cloak embracing all of time as no more than the pin point center of the uninterrupted circle of God's existence.
